Board of Management (BOM) members and parents of AIC Ndune Secondary School in Embu County have demanded action against the institution’s Principal who is allegedly always drunk.
According to the parents, the principal has been advocating for the use of intoxicants by students and no action had been taken despite filing several complaints with the Teacher Service Commission (TSC).
According to the BOM chair Mr James Utu, the teacher had on several occasions appeared in school drunk putting the lives of the learners at risk.
One of the parents complained that he had been sending students home over no genuine reason and sometimes failed to appear in parents meetings he organized.
Mr Utu appealed to TSC to step in and offer a lasting solution to salvage the lives of the hundreds of learners.
