Police in Turkana South Sub-County have launched a manhunt for a 35-year-old man who killed his two-year-old son and badly injured his wife before escaping.
The suspect r Eyenae Ekwom reportedly had an argument with the wife who wanted to take the ailing child to hospital against his wish of looking after the goats.
The furious man hit the child with a blunt object and assaulted the mother badly injuring them.
They were rescued by villagers who rushed them to the hospital but the child was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect went into hiding immediately after committing the crime.
