ODM Leader Raila Odinga is set to visit Isiolo in efforts to woo residents to support his Presidential bid anchored on Azimio la Umoja slogan.
Mr Odinga’s Saturday visit comes a week after Deputy President William Ruto visited the county to popularise his bottom-up economic model.
The tour is expected to bring on board local elected leaders including MCAs, MPs and Governor who have snubbed Dr Ruto’s two previous visits in February and October this year.
The visit will bring together Governor Mohammed Kuti and Senator Dullo who last shared a podium on March 7 during leaders meeting following unrest in Isiolo town and who have been political enemies.
The two leaders besides supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mr Odinga, are also part of the group of Northern Kenya leaders who recently unveiled Upya Movement.
The Governor is also expected to share same podium with his embattled deputy Dr Abdi Issa who has severally decried what he terms as isolation in the government that he is part of.
Among the leaders expected at the event is Treasury CS Ukur Yattani and host of MPs from Northern Kenya region.
Mr Odinga, who enjoys quite some huge support in the region, will hold a meeting at Isiolo town Police Station and thereafter a rally in the town.
President Uhuru Kenyatta will two days later (Monday) tour the county to launch tele-medicine services at Isiolo Referral Hospital.
