President Uhuru Kenyatta has mourned the death of freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi’s daughter Ms Peris Muthoni who succumbed to illness on Sunday.
The head of state through a statement remembered Ms Muthoni as a humble and strong pillar to the bereaved family who always went an extra mile to ensure the wellness of their aged mother Mama Mukami Kimathi.
“Her death is a big blow to the family because she was always by her mother’s side ensuring she is attended to well,” read part of the statement.
According to the family through their Dedan Kimathi foundation, Ms Muthoni passed on following a long illness.
