General Service Unit (GSU) officers attached at Deputy President William Ruto’s Karen residence have been withdrawn and replaced with Administrative Police officers.
Sources revealed that the officers withdrawn were required to leave the residence by Thursday evening and some of them were reassigned to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s team.
MPs allied to the DP however maintained that the security team had completely withdrawn.
“DP Ruto’s security has been withdrawn a few days after the president asked him to resign. Have we sunk this low?” Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga shared online.
