Police in Meru are hunting down suspects who brutally murdered a female teacher and her son at their home in South Imenti, Meru County.
Residents said the body of retired teacher Agnes Tarasila and her son only identified as Mutwiri were recovered with deep cuts on their heads with police suspecting the death could have resulted from a land dispute.
The locals recovered an axe at the scene of the crime before reporting the incident to the area chief on Tuesday night.
