Ex-Imenti Central MP Gideon Mwiti aka Livondo has passed on after a short illness, reports indicate.
The 60-year-old served as MP between 2013-2017 after being elected on the Alliance Party of Kenya ticket in the 2013 general elections.
Mr Mwiti was in October 2013 acquitted of fraud charges over a collapsed pyramid scheme in which Kenyans lost Sh780 million.
The lawmaker rose into the limelight after he was accused of assaulting and raping a journalist in his office in March 2015 before his arraignment on April 2, 2015 where he was accused of assaulting a former journalist.
