Ex-Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has died, his cousin Ruth Odinga has announced.
The death occurred at a Nairobi based Hospital.
The 54-year-old was Gem MP for three terms between 2002 and 2017 and run on Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and National Rainbow Coalition (Narc) parties.
President Uhuru Kenyatta eulogised him as a brave and straight forward leader who was a great debater in Parliament saying his death was a big blow to the country.
The family did not share the cause of the death.
