A 27-year-old man has killed his 27-year-old wife after finding her with another man in their house at Ukingoni village, Kwanza Sub-County in Trans Nzoia County.
The furious man stabbed the woman with a knife severally on the chest and neck after the wife’s mpango wa kando attacked him before fleeing the scene on Sunday evening. The seriously injured woman died on arrival at nearby hospital.
The suspect, who is in police custody, reportedly suspected that the assailant had an affair with his wife with whom he previously had several arguments over the matter.
The man was shortly detained at Kapkoi Police station before he was rushed to nearby Kwanza Hospital for treatment.
Cases of Gender Based Violence have been on the rise in the recent past with rape, murder, physical assault, defilement, grievous harm and child marriages being among the most common cases.
