The search for Chief Justice that had been temporarily stopped last week will now continue following a directive by the Court of Appeal.
The High Court had on April 21 stopped the Judicial Service Commission from picking a candidate from the 10 nominees shortlisted for the post, a directive that was issued after four petitioners sought orders to stop the exercise.
But the Court of Appeal on April 27 allowed the Judicial Service Commission to continue with the exercise and the planned interviews for Supreme Court judges.
The Judicial Commission has so far conducted eight interviews out of 10.
