Radio Citizen Managing Editor Robin Njogu has died from Covid-19 related complications.
The veteran Royal Media Services (RMS) journalist died on Monday at a Nairobi-based hospital where he was undergoing treatment a few days after losing his mother.
Mr Njogu worked at Capital FM before moving to RMS where he rose the ranks to become Radio Citizen News Managing Editor.
Citizen TV journalist Trevor Ombija while eulogizing the late said “My heart bleeds this morning, I have lost a friend, a brother and a mentor. Robin Njogu gave me my first Job on radio fresh from the village with no experience and a heavy accent but he never gave up on me…”
Land CS Faridah Karoney said the death was a huge loss to RMS and the media fraternity.
“I am deeply saddened by the demise of radio journalist Robin Njogu. I worked with Robin for many years managing radio news and this is a huge loss to the Royal Media Services family and the media fraternity,” the CS shared on Twitter.
