Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga has been discharged from Nairobi Hospital where he has been receiving treatment for Covid-19 disease.

Mr Odinga who was admitted at the premier facility on Tuesday was on Sunday morning seen on a video uploaded on his Twitter page doing physical exercise at his home.

In the video, he is heard saying that he is glad to be back home and that he will be under strict self-isolation until further notice.

“I am glad to be back home, I will be under strict self-isolation until further notice,” says Odinga.

The former Prime Minister adds that the five nights that he spent on the hospital bed were just like prison because he could not experience the beauty of nature.

“I can now breathe fresh air and see the beautiful green color of the vegetation,” he says.

A team of specialists led by his personal physician, Dr Oluoch Olunya, a neurosurgeon has been attending him.

Mr Odinga went to the hospital on Monday complaining of fatigue after spending the previous week criss-crossing the cost region popularizing the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) amendment Bill (2020).
