Kenya has launched two interconnected digital trade platforms, BiasharaLink and Deal House, aimed at transforming African embassies into active hubs for trade and investment across the continent.

BiasharaLink enables embassies, exporters, investors, and market actors to capture, structure, and track trade and investment opportunities aligned with African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) priorities.

Deal House acts as the execution arm, validating opportunities, matching partners, linking deals to financing, and pushing transactions toward contract completion.

The two were developed in partnership with Real Sources Africa, Kenya’s AfCFTA Trading Company, with support from Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and Equity Group Holdings.

The initiative seeks to close Africa’s trade execution gap by using technology to harness the commercial potential of more than 1,000 diplomatic missions across the continent.

The platforms were unveiled at a high-level reception in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, attended by senior government officials, African Union representatives, ambassadors, multilateral development institutions, and private sector leaders.

The launch comes as African heads of state meeting at the 39th AU Summit push for practical, execution-focused solutions to unlock the full potential of the AfCFTA.

Speaking at the launch, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi said the platforms represent a new, results-oriented model of economic diplomacy that connects opportunity directly to execution.

AfCFTA Secretary General Wamkele Mene said Africa must strengthen its internal market as the world faces rising protectionism and supply chain disruptions.

The initiative underscores Kenya’s growing leadership in digital trade diplomacy, aligned with President William Ruto’s role in championing AfCFTA implementation and the Digital Trade Protocol.
